🌟 Biloli Celebrates Shivaji Jayanti with Enthusiasm; Blood Donation Camp Organized
By Amardeep Dagde, Biloli : Shivaji Jayanti was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in Biloli, mirroring the celebrations across Maharashtra. On this auspicious occasion, citizens, prominent personalities, local administration, and police officials paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by offering floral garlands at his half-statue located on the main road, honoring his contributions and legacy.
To commemorate the day, the Shiv Janmotsav Committee, Biloli, in collaboration with Farande Honda Biloli, organized a blood donation camp near the statue of Shivaji Maharaj. The camp received an overwhelming response from the citizens. Local corporator Shankar Gaikwad was the first to donate blood.
Notably, police officials who came to pay their respects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also participated in the camp. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Shyam Panegavkar, Biloli Police Station In-Charge API Kamal Shinde, and PSI Tidke voluntarily donated blood and encouraged others to do the same. Their participation highlighted the active involvement of the police in social initiatives and served as an inspiration to the public.
Advocate Pawar, social activists Indrajit Tudme and Abhijeet Tudme, and journalist Rajendra Kamble, who came to pay homage to the Maharaj’s statue, suggested erecting a full equestrian statue of Shivaji Maharaj and enhancing the surroundings of the statue for better visibility and beautification.
During the event, DSP Shyam Panegavkar emphasized that Shivaji Jayanti should be celebrated traditionally. He reminded the public that permission to play loud music or DJs has been denied across the district and appealed to citizens to celebrate the day in a traditional, noise-free manner, preserving the legacy of Maharaj’s thoughts.
Blood donors at the camp were honored with certificates presented by the organizers, led by Raju Patil Shimpalkar. The camp was enlivened with vibrant coordination by Bhausahab Banbare, making the event both meaningful and festive.
