Strong emphasis on Modi’s contributions highlighted through advertisements and events across India.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, a wave of advertisements celebrating his leadership appeared across various newspapers. Notably, The Times of India’s Delhi edition featured a significant number of these ads, with three of the first six pages dedicated to messages from the Delhi government and private companies. The subsequent pages also included at least one advertisement per page, culminating in 11 ads, five of which were full-page spreads.
The Delhi government and the faction of the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde repeated their advertisements in several newspapers, underscoring their political alignment. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) currently governs the Delhi Assembly, and the Shinde faction serves as a key ally of the BJP both at the central level and within Maharashtra.
The Indian Express also participated in the celebrations, featuring at least seven advertisements, including three full-page ads. On this notable day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta introduced a song titled “Namo Pragati Delhi – From Children’s Voices to the Nation’s Voice,” which she described as a “significant and priceless gift for the prime minister.” The song, performed by students from over 50 government schools, reflects the theme of “One India, Best India.” Additionally, more than 300 government schools contributed handmade cards intended for Modi, which Gupta pledged to deliver.
To further commemorate the day, the Delhi government organized a Seva Sankalp Walk event at Kartavya Path, which included a blood donation camp as part of the festivities. In Odisha, the BJP government announced plans to plant 75 lakh saplings in honor of Modi’s birthday. Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri hosted a collective prayer and langar at a gurudwara in Mumbai, wishing for Modi’s “long life and good health.”
In Kota, Rajasthan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla took part in a cleanliness drive organized in conjunction with Modi’s birthday. Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also engaged in tree planting activities in Delhi. Various public figures, including preacher Dhirendra Shashtri, cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, chess grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, business leaders Mukesh Ambani and Sanjiv Goenka, as well as actors Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Alia Bhatt, shared their well-wishes for Modi on social media.
In celebration of Modi’s vision and leadership, the music label T-Series released a song titled “Vandaniya Hai Desh Mera,” sung and composed by Shankar Mahadevan, with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. This anthem aims to honor the prime minister on his 75th birthday, further emphasizing the widespread celebrations and recognition of his contributions across various sectors in India.
