SEBI announces recruitment for Grade A posts; application process starts on October 30, 2025.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced the recruitment process for various Grade A (Assistant Manager) posts for the year 2025. Interested candidates can submit their applications online starting from October 30, 2025, through the official SEBI website, sebi.gov.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 107 vacancies across different streams. Specifically, there are 56 positions available in the General stream, 20 in the Legal stream, 22 in Information Technology, 4 in Research, 3 in Official Language, 2 in Engineering (Electrical), and 3 in Engineering (Civil). These roles are critical to the functioning of SEBI and require candidates to possess relevant qualifications and expertise in their respective fields.

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must not be older than 30 years as of September 30, 2025. This age limit is designed to attract younger professionals who can contribute to SEBI’s mission of promoting and regulating the securities market in India.

The selection process for applicants will occur in three distinct phases. The first phase involves an online examination consisting of two papers, designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skills. The second phase will also consist of online examinations, again comprising two papers. Following these assessments, the final phase will include an interview round, where candidates will have the opportunity to demonstrate their potential and suitability for the roles.

As part of the application process, candidates from the Unreserved, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1000. In contrast, applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are subject to a reduced fee of Rs 100. This fee structure aims to encourage a diverse range of applicants while ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder eligible candidates from applying.
