Final chance for candidates to apply for Head Constable (Ministerial) positions in Delhi Police

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is nearing the end of the online application period for the recruitment of Head Constable (Ministerial) positions within the Delhi Police Examination for 2025. This opportunity is available for eligible candidates who wish to apply for a total of 509 vacancies. The application window will close today, October 20, 2025, at the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.

Out of the 509 posts, 341 are designated for male candidates while 168 are reserved for female candidates. Prospective applicants must ensure they meet the age requirement, which stipulates that candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old as of July 1, 2025. There is an age relaxation provision for candidates belonging to reserved categories, which is an important detail for those who may qualify under this criterion.

In addition to age requirements, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education or hold an equivalent qualification at the time of application. This educational background is essential for eligibility, ensuring that candidates possess the necessary foundational knowledge and skills for the roles they are applying for.

It is important to note that a fee of Rs 100 is applicable for the application process. However, women candidates, as well as those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-servicemen (ESM), are exempt from this fee, making the application process more accessible to a wider demographic.

After submitting their applications, candidates will have an opportunity to make corrections if needed. The correction window is scheduled to open from October 27 to October 29, 2025, allowing applicants to amend any discrepancies in their submitted forms.

Following the application and correction phases, the Computer-Based Examination is slated to take place in December 2025 or January 2026. This examination will serve as a key component in assessing the suitability of candidates for the Head Constable (Ministerial) roles.

For those interested in applying, the process is straightforward. Candidates should visit the SSC homepage, navigate to the “Apply” tab, register themselves, fill in the application form, pay the requisite fee, and submit the form. It is advisable to download and print a copy of the completed form for future reference. This ensures that candidates have a record of their application, which may be useful for tracking and verification purposes.

For further details and any additional information, candidates are encouraged to consult the official SSC website. This will provide the most accurate and comprehensive guidance regarding the application process and related timelines.
