Residents Raise Concerns Over Pollution and Civic Issues Near Ramanaicken Lake Walking Park in Hosur
Hosur: Residents and regular visitors to the Ramanaicken Lake East Side Walking Path in Hosur have raised concerns regarding civic and environmental issues affecting the popular public space.
The walking path has become a well-known location for morning walks, jogging, and evening recreation. Families and children also visit the park during weekends and holidays. However, local residents say several unresolved problems are causing inconvenience to the public.
One of the major concerns highlighted by residents is the lack of water in Ramanaicken Lake. According to people in the area, earlier announcements had mentioned plans to bring water from the Kelavarapalli Dam through pipeline connections, but residents claim that regular water supply to the lake has not yet materialized.
Residents have also expressed concerns regarding possible wastewater discharge into the lake area from nearby establishments. Some members of the public have requested that the authorities conduct proper inspections and environmental testing to determine the source of pollution and ensure that no untreated waste enters the lake.
People visiting the park have complained about an increase in mosquitoes during evening hours, which they believe may be linked to stagnant water and poor maintenance around the lake surroundings.
Recently, Kauvery Hospital reportedly took responsibility for maintenance activities related to the park area. Residents are now expecting improvements in cleanliness and upkeep of the public space.
Another issue raised by visitors is the growing presence of stray dogs inside and around the park premises. Regular walkers and parents visiting with children have urged the Hosur Corporation to take appropriate steps to address public safety concerns.
Residents are also appealing to local authorities, including the Hosur Corporation and district administration, to inspect the area and resolve the civic issues at the earliest.
Local visitors say the park remains an important recreational space for the community and are hoping that necessary action will be taken to improve environmental conditions and public facilities around the lake.
