Nalgonda, Telangana — Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy participated in Bakrid (Eid al-Adha) celebrations held in Nalgonda town and extended festive greetings to members of the Muslim community.
The minister attended special prayers conducted at the Eidgah on Munugodu Road, where a large number of devotees gathered to celebrate the festival. He interacted with religious elders, community leaders, and local residents, conveying wishes for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy described Bakrid as a festival symbolising sacrifice, faith, and humanity. He stated that festivals such as Bakrid strengthen unity among people of different communities and reflect Telangana’s tradition of communal harmony.
The minister said the state government remains committed to welfare and development programmes for all communities, including minorities. He also referred to policies introduced during previous Congress governments aimed at improving educational and employment opportunities for minority communities.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy appreciated the peaceful atmosphere during the celebrations and praised the efforts of police officials and district administration for making arrangements for the festival.
Several local Congress leaders, public representatives, and members of the Muslim community were present during the celebrations.
