Nabadwip Residents Raise Drinking Water Supply Concerns in PPP Apartment Complex

Residents of Chaitanya Plaza Apartment in Nabadwip have raised concerns regarding the alleged non-supply of filtered drinking water in the residential complex, urging authorities to take immediate action to address the issue.

According to members of the Chaitanya Plaza Apartment Owners’ Association, nearly 40 families along with several commercial establishments, including shops, a restaurant, and a departmental store, are reportedly facing difficulties due to inadequate access to filtered drinking water in the building located on M.K. Chowdhury Road in Nabadwip.

The residents stated that the apartment complex currently depends on water supplied through older deep tube wells and additional borewell sources to meet daily requirements. They alleged that the available water contains excessive iron content and may not be suitable for regular use without proper treatment.

Association members claimed that they had submitted multiple representations to the Nabadwip Municipality regarding the issue over the past few years. Residents also pointed out that the apartment complex is part of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project and urged authorities to ensure proper civic infrastructure and drinking water facilities for occupants.

The residents have appealed to the Public Health Engineering Department and municipal authorities to arrange a regular supply of filtered drinking water to the apartment complex at the earliest.

Local residents said the issue has affected daily life and have requested officials to inspect the situation and implement necessary corrective measures.
