New Delhi, May 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to take necessary precautions as temperatures continue to rise in several parts of the country.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the Prime Minister advised people to stay hydrated and carry drinking water while stepping outdoors. He also appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary exposure during peak afternoon heat hours.
The Prime Minister encouraged citizens to help others during the summer season by offering drinking water to those in need and placing earthen pots filled with water outside homes and shops. He appreciated individuals and organizations involved in providing drinking water facilities in public places.
He further advised children, senior citizens, and people with existing health conditions to remain especially cautious during the ongoing heatwave conditions.
Health experts have also recommended avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, wearing light clothing, and maintaining adequate hydration as temperatures continue to rise across several states.
