Indian Press Union (IPU) is a professional media association operating under its legal entity IPU Media Association, a Section 8 organization registered in India. The Union has been established with the objective of supporting, empowering, and organizing media professionals through structured membership, capacity-building initiatives, and ethical media practices.
IPU functions as an independent, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit body. It does not represent or claim to be a government authority. Its role is to act as a collective platform for media professionals, journalists, content creators, and media-support professionals to collaborate, learn, and grow within a transparent and professional framework.
