Adilabad Airport Project Gains Momentum; Pre-Feasibility Studies to Begin Soon

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu highlights key progress after meeting with Rajnath Singh and G. Kishan Reddy; project to boost connectivity and regional growth under Narendra Modi’s vision.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu briefed the media on encouraging developments regarding the Adilabad Airport project following his meeting with Hon’ble Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Hon’ble Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy. He stated that pre-feasibility studies and site inspections for the proposed airport will commence soon, marking a significant milestone in Adilabad’s development.

Despite a large catchment area and strong passenger demand, access to nearby airports remains limited, highlighting the project’s importance. Under the progressive leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, air connectivity in remote regions is being expanded through civil enclaves, enabling shared use of infrastructure for both defence and civilian purposes.

This initiative will enhance connectivity, accelerate economic growth in the tribal region, strengthen Air Force infrastructure, and advance the vision of a ‘Connected India, Secure India, Developed India.’
