Anantnag Police Conduct NARCO Raids at Hotels in Pahalgam Sub-Division

Anantnag, June 5: As part of its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Anantnag Police conducted extensive NARCO raids at several hotels across the Pahalgam Sub-Division on Friday.

According to police officials, the operation was carried out in the Mavoora, Rafting Point and Yanner areas by six dedicated police teams under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Pahalgam.

Acting on specific inputs, police teams searched multiple hotel premises to prevent the misuse of tourist accommodations for narcotics-related activities and to strengthen surveillance against suspected drug networks operating in the region.

Police said the operation forms part of a broader district-wide initiative aimed at curbing the drug menace and maintaining a safe and secure environment for both residents and visitors.

Reaffirming its commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking, Anantnag Police stated that similar enforcement measures will continue across the district to deter illegal narcotics activities and promote public safety.

Officials also urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any information related to drug trafficking or substance abuse.
