Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, June 9: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has stated that the Ayodhya Ram Mandir is receiving average daily donations ranging between ₹8 lakh and ₹10 lakh as the number of devotees visiting the temple continues to increase.
According to Trust officials, more than 15 crore devotees have visited the temple since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, and total donations received have exceeded ₹500 crore. The Trust stated that the funds are managed through established accounting and monitoring procedures.
To facilitate donations, six large donation boxes (hundis) have been installed at the main temple, while additional donation boxes have been placed at other shrines within the temple complex. Devotees can also make cash contributions through designated counters and receive computerized receipts.
Trust General Secretary Champat Rai has stated that records are maintained for all donations received. The donation collection and counting process is conducted under CCTV surveillance, and a specialized agency has been engaged for counting activities.
According to the Trust, a team of staff members, along with designated officials and banking representatives, participates in the counting and verification process. After counting, the funds are deposited into the official account of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in accordance with prescribed procedures.
The Trust further stated that donations received through cash, online transfers, cheques, and UPI payments are audited every six months. Chartered accountants and banking officials participate in the audit process, which includes examination of both receipts and expenditures.
