The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026, outlining a series of welfare-driven and governance-focused promises aimed at various sections of society.
One of the key highlights of the manifesto is the financial support scheme for women, under which ₹3,000 per month will be provided directly to beneficiaries, credited between the 1st and 5th of each month. The party has also announced a similar monthly assistance of ₹3,000 for graduate youth to help them prepare for employment opportunities.
In a move aimed at improving mobility and safety, the manifesto promises free travel for women in government-operated buses. Government employees and pensioners have also been addressed, with commitments including the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission within 45 days and provision of Dearness Allowance (DA).
Healthcare has been given importance as well, with assurances of free cancer screening and HPV vaccination for women across the state. Additionally, the party has proposed the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code within six months, if voted to power.
The manifesto reflects BJP’s attempt to combine social welfare initiatives with administrative reforms, targeting women, youth, and government employees as key voter groups. As the election approaches, these promises are expected to play a significant role in shaping political discourse in the state.
