Amid the ongoing Middle-East war, Odisha Chief Minister Sri Mohan Charan Majhi issued advisories to all government departments in the district collectors’ meeting at Lokseva Bhaban in Bhubaneswar yesterday. He instructed the collectors to ensure the sufficient availability of all essential commodities in all the districts of the state. He advised district-level enforcement squads to remain on 24×7 alert to prevent black marketing, artificial price hikes, and hoarding.
The Chief Minister assured people that sufficient stocks are available and urged them not to panic. The government has taken all proactive measures for the smooth supply of petrol, food, milk, and fertilizer. Sri Majhi said we must work like a team to overcome difficulties and emphasized close monitoring of social media to prevent rumors.
In the meeting, Sri Sanjay Singh, secretary, Food Supply and Consumer Welfare department, presented the measures taken by the districts on behalf of the state government.
