Distribution of Modern Agricultural Equipment with Government Subsidy at Bokakhat, Assam by Agriculture Minister Atul Bora .

At the public playground in Bokakhat the Agriculture Department organized a program under the Agricultural Mechanization Sub-Scheme to distribute modern agricultural equipment with government subsidy on 9th March. Minister Atul Bora attended the event and personally handed over 60 advanced tractors to farmers. He also enjoyed driving one of the newly introduced high-tech mini tractors at the venue.

In his speech, Minister Bora remarked that the application of modern technology in agriculture and mechanization has enabled farmers to produce more crops in less time, thereby increasing their financial gains. He added that mechanization reduces both time and labor, allowing farmers to cultivate multiple crops on the same land and reap greater benefits.

It is noteworthy that today’s event was organized by the Golaghat District Agriculture Department with support from the Agricultural Engineering Branch. Alongside the distribution of tractors, other mechanized farming tools were also provided under the scheme.

The program was attended by Bokakhat Sub-Divisional Officer Shivani Jerngal, Golaghat Zilla Parishad Chairperson Purnima Das, Bokakhat Municipal Board Chairman Ratneswar Baruah, Zilla Parishad member Noren Bori, Regional Panchayat Chairperson Jayanti Loing, BJP Bokakhat constituency in-charge Santosh Ojha, Animesh Saikia, Chandra Sharma, Pronab Chetia, Niju Loing, Jatin Nath, Rita Talukdar, Bhaskar Kalindi, Mrinal Das, Rajen Das, Utpal Bordoloi, as well as leaders and workers of BJP and Asom Gana Parishad. District Agriculture Officer Ranjan Baruah and Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Hemang Sonowal were also present.
