In a concerning development on Wednesday, India raised alarms over an attack on a Thai-flagged cargo vessel heading for the Kandla port, reportedly struck by Iranian forces in the Strait of Hormuz. The ship, identified as the Mayuree Naree, was reportedly hit by two unidentified projectiles while navigating through the crucial waterway off the coast of Oman. Precious Shipping, the operator of the vessel, confirmed the attack, which Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps later acknowledged as targeting the ship.
