Residents Raise Concerns Over Delayed Administrative Action in Kandivali Housing Society Dispute

A long-running dispute within a residential housing society in Lokhandwala, Kandivali East, Mumbai, has once again drawn attention after a group of residents alleged delays in administrative action related to the society’s management and elections.

According to residents associated with the group, concerns regarding the functioning of the society’s managing committee have been raised over the past several years. The residents claim that decisions involving significant society expenditures were taken without adequate consultation with members.

The dispute has reportedly reached multiple legal and administrative forums, including cooperative authorities and courts. Residents allege that despite certain administrative directions related to the managing committee, the process of transition and fresh elections has faced repeated delays.

Some residents have also expressed concern over the pending conduct of new elections and the overall pace of administrative proceedings. They say they are seeking greater transparency, timely implementation of official orders, and restoration of regular democratic functioning within the society.

However, no official statement from the current office bearers or the concerned authorities was immediately available regarding these allegations.

Housing society disputes related to governance, elections, maintenance funds, and administrative control are increasingly becoming common in major urban centres, especially in densely populated metropolitan regions like Mumbai.

Residents involved in the matter have appealed for a transparent resolution through legal and administrative channels.
