Panchkula: Executive Chef Sahil from Ava Hotel, Zirakpur showcased an impressive fruit and vegetable carving artwork at Vasant Utsav 2026, held at Yavika Garden, Sector-5, Panchkula from 13 to 15 March 2026. His creation drew significant attention from both the judges and visitors during the event.

The artwork was presented under the theme “Blessed by Divine, Committed to Growth of Nation.” In this unique display, Chef Sahil carved the figures of Lord Shiva blessing former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. All the faces were intricately carved on watermelons.

To enhance the overall presentation, Chef Sahil also carved several smaller fruits and vegetables such as beetroot into decorative floral elements. The display was further adorned using natural leaves and recycled tree sticks, giving the entire presentation a greenery-inspired appearance while conveying a message of “Nature Conservation and Sustainable Use of Resources.”

The remarkable carving and creative presentation became a centre of attraction for visitors at the festival, and Chef Sahil was honoured with an award by the organizers for this artistic creation.
