1. Major Fire in Jeedimetla Industrial Area

Location:
• Ram Reddy Nagar, Jeedimetla Industrial Area (outskirts of Hyderabad)

What Happened:
• A massive fire broke out in a warehouse storing solvent drums and chemicals.
• These materials are highly flammable, which caused the fire to spread very quickly.
• Thick black smoke covered the sky and was visible from several kilometers away, creating fear among nearby residents.

How It Spread:
• The fire didn’t remain limited to one warehouse.
• It spread rapidly to:
• Two nearby solvent godowns
• One fabrication unit
• One scrap warehouse
• All these units were completely destroyed (gutted).

Emergency Response:
• Fire department teams rushed immediately.
• Multiple fire engines were deployed.
• Firefighters worked for several hours to bring the situation under control.
• There was a high risk of explosions due to chemicals.

Key Findings:
• The warehouses were reportedly operating without proper permissions.
• Fortunately, no workers were present inside, which prevented loss of life.

Damage:
• Heavy property loss (exact amount still under assessment).

Authorities are now investigating:
• Exact cause of fire
• Possible safety violations and illegal storage
