Bengaluru Businessman Files Police Complaint Over Alleged Extortion, Threats and Theft

Bengaluru | September 16, 2026: A businessman involved in the metal scrap trade has approached the police with a complaint alleging extortion, criminal intimidation, unauthorised entry into his warehouse and the disappearance of scrap materials. The complainant has been identified as Mujahid ul Islam, proprietor of Future Enterprises.

According to the complaint, the company's warehouse is located at Ground Floor, SY No. 18/1, 19 & 20, Gottigere Post, 80 Feet Road, Pillaganahalli, Bengaluru. The complaint names Asif Ulla Sharif of BTM Layout, Mujeeb alias Settu of Parvathipuram and some other alleged associates.

The complainant has alleged that the named individuals and their associates have been repeatedly harassing him and have allegedly entered the warehouse premises without permission. He has further alleged that threats were issued and money was demanded in order to allow him to continue operating his business.

Allegations of Scrap Material Going Missing

The complaint also states that valuable metal scrap materials have allegedly been going missing from the warehouse on a regular basis. The complainant has expressed suspicion that the named individuals and their associates may be involved in the alleged theft. However, their involvement has not been independently established based on the complaint alone.

The complainant has stated that the alleged incidents have created security concerns for him and his staff and have affected the normal operation of the business.

Request for Police Investigation

Mujahid ul Islam has requested the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, to investigate the allegations, register an FIR against the named individuals if the allegations disclose cognisable offences, and take action in accordance with law. He has also requested adequate security for his warehouse and employees.

As of the information contained in the complaint, there is no independent confirmation that an FIR has been registered or that the allegations have been established. The claims remain subject to police investigation and further legal proceedings.
