17-Hour Power Outage Reported in HBR Layout; BESCOM Restores Supply After Complaint

Bengaluru: Power supply was disrupted in parts of HBR Layout's 5th Block on September 20, 2026, with the outage reportedly beginning at around 3 a.m. and continuing until approximately 8 p.m.

According to the local complaint, the affected area included 18th Main Road and 20th Cross. Residents contacted the BESCOM office at around 2 p.m. to report the prolonged interruption in electricity supply.

Following the complaint, Assistant Engineer Nagraj initiated action and assigned a technical team to inspect and address the issue. The required work was subsequently carried out and electricity supply was restored later in the evening.

The prolonged outage caused inconvenience to residents in the affected area. The restoration of supply following the complaint brought the disruption to an end.

The incident also highlights the importance of timely reporting and prompt response to local electricity supply issues to ensure restoration and minimize inconvenience to consumers.
