Flyover Construction JALPAIGURI 2 NO GUNTI RAILWAY IS LONG TIME PROBLEM
Survey Begins for Proposed Flyover at Number 3 Gumti in Jalpaiguri
A survey for the proposed flyover at Jalpaiguri's Number 3 Gumti railway crossing has begun. According to railway sources, a comprehensive report will be submitted to the district administration after the survey is completed. The administration is expected to initiate the land acquisition process following the submission and review of the report.
The proposed flyover is expected to have a width of approximately 60 to 90 feet. According to preliminary reports, the planned route may begin at Park More in Jalpaiguri and extend towards Beguntari. The project is expected to pass through several parts of the town.
Survey activities were carried out around the Number 3 Gumti intersection on Tuesday. Red and white markings have reportedly appeared on several houses and shops along the proposed route. Railway sources indicated that the survey covers the areas identified for the proposed project.
There is also speculation about a possible future connection between the proposed flyover and the existing flyover near Mohitnagar. However, further details regarding such a connection have not been officially confirmed.
Railway authorities are expected to submit their findings to the district administration once the survey is complete. Further decisions regarding the project's route, land acquisition and construction will depend on the survey report and subsequent administrative approval.
