A program on Cyber Security and Women Safety awareness was organized by Mangalpur Police station at Mangalpur Women's Graduate College.


- Presided over by: Dr. Meenakshi Mishra, President of the College
- Inauguration: The program began with lamp lighting by Shri Bhuvan Mohan Sethi, Officer-in-Charge, Mangalpur Police Station
- Key Address: IIC Shri Bhuvan Mohan Sethi spoke about the need for awareness on cyber crime and women safety in the modern era
- College Address: Principal Smt. Pramila Bai emphasized that women must stay alert and informed given the rise in cyber crime
- Support: All faculty members of the college actively cooperated in making the program a success.

Cyber Safety
- Basics: strong passwords, 2FA, software updates
- Scams to watch: OTP fraud, fake KYC calls, phishing links
- Social media safety: privacy settings, dealing with blackmail, explicit content, defamation
- Safe transactions: only use authorized sites, don't share OTP/bank details
- What to do if attacked: block SIM, report on 1930 or http://cybercrime.gov.in

Women Safety
- Legal rights: IT Act + IPC for cybercrime
- Reporting channels: Project Rakhi WhatsApp, nearby police station/women help desk, 112 emergency
- Bystander role: anonymous reporting to help community
- Digital dignity: how to respond to online harassment, stalking, dowry harassment.

The session aimed to educate students about online safety, cyber frauds, and legal protections for women.
