Jodhpur: A massive fire broke out at a vehicle service centre in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on Wednesday, destroying more than 50 vehicles parked inside the premises. The blaze triggered panic in the area as thick black smoke billowed into the sky, prompting an immediate emergency response from the fire department. Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire, though the exact reason is yet to be confirmed.

According to officials, at least 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the flames. Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control and preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings and establishments. The intensity of the fire caused extensive damage to cars and two-wheelers parked at the service centre.

Videos from the scene, widely shared on social media, showed vehicles engulfed in flames as firefighters sprayed water to contain the inferno. The visuals highlighted the scale of destruction, with several vehicles completely reduced to charred shells.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Authorities evacuated workers and nearby residents as a precaution while emergency teams secured the area.

Officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. Although a short circuit is suspected to have sparked the blaze, forensic experts and fire department personnel will conduct a detailed inspection before confirming the reason. The extent of the financial losses is yet to be assessed.
