Tamil Nadu Assembly Session Extended; Budget Discussions to Continue

Chennai: According to an official announcement issued by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the current Assembly session has been extended until September 8.

The announcement stated that the decision was taken following a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee. The Assembly is scheduled to continue discussions on the State Budget and other legislative business during the extended session.

As per the official schedule, budget discussions are expected to continue over the coming days. The Assembly Secretariat has also indicated that proceedings may be extended beyond the normal sitting hours if required to complete the listed business.

The official notification further stated that the Assembly proceedings will be broadcast live to enable public access to the legislative discussions.

Legislative debates are expected to focus on budget proposals, departmental grants, and other matters placed before the House in accordance with the Assembly's agenda.
