Agartala: A tragic road accident on the Agartala flyover claimed the life of a woman identified as Eli Debbarma. The incident took place while she was reportedly travelling on a motorcycle with Ajit Debbarma.

According to preliminary information, the duo was returning home from a private hotel in the AD Nagar area. While they were travelling along the Agartala flyover, they reportedly met with an accident, following which Eli Debbarma fell from the moving motorcycle and sustained critical injuries.

She reportedly died at the spot. However, she was subsequently taken to IGM Hospital, where doctors examined her and officially declared her dead.

Eli Debbarma was reportedly a resident of the Supari Bagan area, while Ajit Debbarma, who was riding the motorcycle, is a resident of Banamalipur.

Following the incident, police took Ajit Debbarma into custody and began an investigation into the accident. The exact circumstances leading to the crash are yet to be established, and further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
