Deerghayu Hospitals Observes World Ayurveda Day with Doctors’ Visit
Bengaluru: Deerghayu Hospitals in Vijaya Bank Layout, BTM 4th Stage, observed World Ayurveda Day by inviting around 15 doctors to the hospital for a walkthrough and interaction.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Dr. Manjunath Joshi, BAMS, MS, referred to this year’s theme, “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow.” He said Ayurveda places emphasis on prevention, balance and healthy lifestyle practices.
Dr. Joshi said the hospital aims to combine traditional Ayurvedic practices with research and contemporary healthcare approaches. He also highlighted the importance of taking Ayurveda forward through research and developments in healthcare.
Director Dr. Shwetha Joshi, BAMS, MD, also spoke during the programme. She said Ayurveda can be viewed not only as a system of medicine but also as a way of life. According to her, Ayurvedic principles can be relevant to lifestyle-related concerns and long-term preventive practices.
She also stressed the importance of preserving the traditional knowledge associated with Ayurveda while encouraging evidence-based research and innovation.
The programme brought doctors together at the hospital to mark World Ayurveda Day and discuss the role of Ayurveda, preventive practices, research and healthcare innovation.
