Amardeep Dagde, Naigaon: Even after one year since the medical examination of differently-abled citizens from Biloli and Naigaon talukas, UID disability certificates have not been issued due to alleged negligence by officials and staff at the Rural Hospital in Naigaon. In protest against this delay, office bearers of Prahar Janshakti Party and Prahar Divyang Organization (Naigaon/Biloli) staged a strong agitation on Monday, February 16, to draw the administration’s attention to the issue.
Following the protest, Medical Superintendent of Naigaon Rural Hospital, Mrs. Aparna Pupulwad, gave a written assurance that all pending disability certificates will be distributed soon and the entire process will be streamlined. She also assured that differently-abled individuals who were previously issued certificates with incorrect or lower disability percentages will undergo re-examination, and revised percentage certificates will be issued accordingly.
District-level office bearers of Prahar Janshakti Party and Prahar Divyang Organization from Nanded district, along with several leaders and workers from Naigaon and Biloli talukas, were present in large numbers during the protest.
