Prime Minister Narendra Modi Will Hold An Emergency Virtual Meeting With The Chief Ministers Of All States Today
New Delhi, March 27, IPU Media Update News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on Friday with the Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories across the country. Via video conference at 6:30 PM, he will discuss with the Chief Ministers the prevailing tensions in West Asia, their consequent impact on India specifically regarding potential shortages in LPG and oil supplies and related issues.
In particular, this meeting will focus on the challenging situations that may arise in the coming days due to shortages in these supplies, as well as the necessary preparedness measures to address them. Furthermore, other topics such as supply chains, energy security, and the safety and security of Indians residing abroad will also be discussed during this session.
Meanwhile, due to the Model Code of Conduct currently in force, the five states where elections are underway will not participate in this meeting. However, the Cabinet Secretariat will hold separate consultations with the Chief Secretaries of those respective states to provide appropriate instructions and directives. The primary objective of this meeting is to enhance coordination between the Central and State governments in safeguarding the nation’s economic stability.
