RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav to Campaign for LDF in Kerala; Set to Join Mohammed Riyas’s Election Rally

KOZHIKODE: In a significant move to bolster the Left Democratic Front (SDF) campaign, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar and a key figure in the INDIA bloc, is set to arrive in Kerala for a three-day intensive campaign. As the National Working President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)—a constituent of the LDF—Tejashwi will be campaigning for various Left candidates across Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts. RJD state president M.V. Shreyams Kumar confirmed that the Bihar leader’s visit is aimed at strengthening the secular front against the NDA.
Tejashwi Yadav is scheduled to reach Kerala on March 31. His campaign trail begins that evening at 7:00 PM near the Ponnani bus stand, where he will address a gathering in support of M.K. Sakeer. The following day, April 1, he will travel to Perambra to support T.P. Ramakrishnan, followed by a public meeting for M.K. Bhaskaran at Orkkatteri in the Vadakara constituency. Later that evening, he is expected to speak at a major election rally for P.K. Praveen in Panoor.
On April 2, the focus shifts to the Beypore constituency, where Tejashwi will participate in a high-profile election rally for P.A. Mohammed Riyas at Kundayithodu at 11:00 AM. His tour will conclude with a public meeting for P.K. Anilkumar in Kalpetta at 4:00 PM and a final campaign event for Linto Joseph at Mukkam in the Thiruvambady constituency at 6:30 PM.
With Kerala set to head to the polls on April 9 and the counting of votes scheduled for May 4, 2026, the arrival of a prominent national leader like Tejashwi Yadav is expected to energize the LDF cadre. His presence underscores the national importance of the Kerala elections within the broader context of the INDIA alliance’s strategy to challenge the current central government.
