Malappuram: The Thalappara Premier League (TPL) moved into high gear yesterday with a massive player auction that saw 90 players being drafted into 10 different teams. The event also marked a technological milestone for the league with the official launch of the TPL Football App.
The proceedings were inaugurated by Kunjon P, with Fazil KT presiding over the function. The ceremony saw the participation of prominent figures including Haneefa Achattil, Alavi Haji, Razak Manakkadavan, Sadiq, Bhaskaran, and Yasar Amin.
A key highlight of the day was the unveiling of the “TPL App,” a dedicated platform for the local community, launched by Razak Manakkadavan. The app is expected to revolutionize how fans follow the tournament, providing real-time updates and team information.
The auction itself was the centerpiece of the event, where 10 teams competed to build their best squads from a pool of 90 talented players. With the teams now finalized and the digital infrastructure in place, Thalappara is all set for an action-packed football season.
