Hinjewadi Police have arrested Harshal Thakare, CEO of ThynkTech India OPC Pvt. Ltd., in connection with an alleged financial fraud case linked to the company’s sudden closure and complaints from employees and interns. The arrest was made following allegations of unpaid salaries, unreturned security deposits, and other financial irregularities.

Case Background

According to police sources, ThynkTech India operated a branch office in Hinjewadi Phase 2, Pune. Employees alleged that the office was abruptly closed without prior notice, leaving hundreds of workers and interns uncertain about their employment status.

Several former employees have claimed that salary payments stopped after December 2025. Some recruits also alleged that they were asked to deposit a security amount for company-issued laptops, which they claim were never provided, and the deposits were not refunded.

In addition, some employees alleged that settlement cheques issued by the company were later dishonoured.

Police Action

Police registered a case based on a complaint filed by an employee and initiated an investigation into the matter. Authorities stated that Harshal Thakare was subsequently taken into custody and produced before a local court, which granted police custody for further investigation.

Wider Investigation Continues

Police officials have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and that other company officials are also being examined in connection with the case. Authorities are reportedly looking into the company’s financial records, recruitment practices, and employee-related transactions.

Employee Concerns

Former employees have sought recovery of pending salaries and other dues. The matter has also reportedly been brought to the attention of labour authorities for further examination.

Official Position

At this stage, the allegations against the accused remain under investigation. The charges have not yet been proven in court, and all concerned individuals are entitled to due legal process. Authorities have stated that further action will be taken based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
