A devastating road accident near Rayavaram in Markapuram district, Andhra Pradesh, has resulted in the tragic loss of 13 lives and left 25 others injured. The incident occurred early Thursday morning when a private bus collided with a gravel-laden truck at a sharp turn around 6 AM, according to local officials. The bus, operated by Harikrishna Travels, was en route from Nirmal in Telangana to Vinjamuru in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the collision was severe, leading to an intense fire that engulfed both vehicles. Of the 41 passengers aboard the bus, 25 were reported injured, with ten suffering from critical injuries. Many of the injured were quickly transported to a government hospital in Markapuram for emergency treatment, where five remain in critical condition, as confirmed by District Collector P Raja Babu.
