Dullabcherra Gets New SBI Branch; Part of 18 New Branches Inaugurated Across Northeast

A new branch of State Bank of India (SBI) at Dullabcherra was virtually inaugurated today as part of the launch of 18 new SBI branches across the North-East region.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the SBI Local Head Office in Guwahati at 3:00 PM and was led by SBI Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty through virtual mode.
The newly opened Dullabcherra branch will be headed by Branch Manager Hitesh Devbarma, who recently assumed charge.
Several local dignitaries were present during the event, including Member of Parliament Kripanath Mallah, along with prominent citizens such as Shuban Das (Retd. Tea Garden Manager), Debasish Sinha (Principal, CVP), Bijoy Sankar Diwedi, and others.
The opening of the branch is expected to significantly improve banking access, financial services, and economic activity in the Dullabcherra area and surrounding rural regions.
Officials stated that the expansion of SBI’s network in the Northeast aims to strengthen financial inclusion, support local businesses, and bring modern banking facilities closer to underserved communities.
