Heavy Rain with Hailstones Lashes Kohima, Sudden Weather Change Reported

A sudden spell of heavy rain accompanied by hailstones lashed parts of Kohima on Monday afternoon, bringing an abrupt change in weather conditions across the town.
The rainfall began at around 1:30 PM, catching many residents off guard. According to locals, the downpour was brief but intense, with hailstones falling in several areas and creating a dramatic shift in the otherwise calm weather.
The unexpected weather event led to a noticeable drop in temperature and briefly disrupted normal daily activities in different parts of the town. Pedestrians and commuters were seen taking shelter as the rain and hail intensified for a short period.
Despite the intensity of the rainfall, no major damage or injuries have been reported so far. However, residents said the sudden hailstorm was unusual and marked a sharp change in the day’s weather pattern.
