India Creates History, Defeats New Zealand by 96 Runs to Win Back-to-Back T20 World Cup Titles

Ahmedabad, March 8: India national cricket team created history by winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time, defeating New Zealand national cricket team by a massive 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Batting first, India produced a dominant performance with the bat, posting a formidable total in the 20-over contest. Sanju Samson led the charge with a brilliant 89 off 46 balls, while Ishan Kishan provided explosive support with 54 off 25 deliveries, helping India set an imposing target for New Zealand.
In response, New Zealand struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack and were eventually bowled out well short of the target. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 4 wickets, while Axar Patel chipped in with three crucial wickets, dismantling the Kiwi batting lineup.
With this victory, India not only successfully defended their T20 World Cup title but also became the first team in history to defend the trophy in the tournament’s history. The triumph also marks India’s third overall T20 World Cup title, further cementing their dominance in the shortest format of the game.
The emphatic win sparked celebrations across the country as fans hailed another golden chapter in Indian cricket history. 🏏
