Kohima: A court in Kohima has sentenced a 49-year-old man to rigorous life imprisonment for the murder of his younger brother in Pfuchama village, bringing closure to a tragic family dispute that shocked the local community.
The verdict was delivered by Principal District and Sessions Judge Mezivolu T. Therieh, who found the accused, Lezo Seletsu, guilty of killing his 33-year-old brother on August 20, 2023.

According to court records, the accused went to his residence, retrieved a firearm, and shot his younger brother from behind. The gunshot caused fatal injuries, leading to the victim’s death at the scene in Pfuchama village near Kohima.
Investigators presented evidence during the trial showing that the attack was deliberate and not accidental.
