Musheerabad Residents Raise Concerns Over Traffic Congestion Near Weekly Fish Market

Hyderabad, June 21: Residents of the Musheerabad area have expressed concern over recurring traffic congestion on the stretch between Ramnagar and Dayra Market during the weekly fish market operations held on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.

According to local residents, increased commercial activity associated with the market often leads to heavy traffic movement in the surrounding area. They claim that fish transport vehicles, loading and unloading activities, and temporary roadside occupation contribute to congestion during peak market hours.

Residents have stated that the situation can cause inconvenience to commuters and local families travelling for work, medical needs, or other urgent purposes. Some have also expressed concern that emergency vehicles may face delays if traffic becomes heavily congested.

Local citizens have urged the concerned civic and traffic authorities to review the situation and consider measures to improve traffic management around the market area.

Among the suggestions put forward by residents are:

  • Ensuring market activities remain within designated premises.
  • Regulating loading and unloading operations during peak traffic hours.
  • Deploying additional traffic management personnel during market days.
  • Maintaining a clear emergency access lane for ambulances and essential services.

Residents have appealed to civic authorities, traffic police, and other relevant departments to assess the issue and take appropriate measures to balance commercial activity with public convenience and road safety.

Officials have not yet issued a public response regarding these concerns.
