3NO GUNTI FLYOVER INSPECTION JALPAIGURI
Flyover Construction Survey Begins in Jalpaiguri
Jalpaiguri: A survey has begun for the proposed railway flyover at Number 3 Gumti railway crossing in Jalpaiguri town. Railway officials are expected to submit a comprehensive report to the district administration after the survey is completed. Following the submission of the report, the district administration will initiate the land acquisition process.
According to reports, the proposed flyover is expected to be between 60 and 90 feet wide. The planned route will pass through a significant part of Jalpaiguri town, beginning at Park More and extending beyond Beguntari. Plans for possible future expansion are also reportedly being considered.
There are also reports of a possible plan to connect the proposed flyover with another flyover in the future. An existing flyover is located near Mohitnagar, close to the town.
On Tuesday, measurements were taken around the Number 3 Gumti crossing. Red and white markings have been placed on several houses and shops along the proposed route. Railway sources indicated that the survey covers the area up to the marked point.
The final route and land acquisition details are expected to become clearer after the railway survey report is submitted to the district administration.
