BJP Announces Plan to Contest All 117 Assembly Seats in Punjab

Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced that it plans to contest all 117 Assembly seats in Punjab in the upcoming state elections, outlining an expanded electoral strategy for the party in the state.

BJP national general secretary (organisation) B L Santosh made the announcement during his organisational visit to Punjab, where the party is reviewing its preparations ahead of the elections.

Santosh said the BJP would contest all 117 seats and expressed confidence that the party could form the government in Punjab.

The announcement comes amid political discussion over the possibility of a revival of the BJP's earlier alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal.
