Clash Near BJP and CPM Offices in Jalpaiguri Leaves Several Injured; Investigation Underway
Jalpaiguri: A clash was reported yesterday near the BJP and CPM party offices on DBC Road in Jalpaiguri, leaving several people injured, according to information available about the incident. The two parties have made allegations against each other following the confrontation.
The situation reportedly became tense after a discussion between members of the two sides escalated into a physical altercation. Efforts were subsequently made to bring the situation under control, following which the violence subsided.
The incident took place on DBC Road, where the offices of the BJP and CPM are located around one kilometre apart. The route is regularly used by leaders and party workers travelling to and from the respective offices.
Following the incident, both sides reportedly raised allegations regarding the circumstances that led to the clash. The authorities have indicated that the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
