Dialogue Is The Solution To Any Problem - Anna Hazare
Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, July 27, IPU Media Update News : Prominent social activist Anna Hazare emphasized that any issue can be resolved through peaceful dialogue rather than violence. Speaking to the media in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, he shared his views on the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the ongoing student protests. He stated that public welfare should be the primary objective for governments and leaders.
Anna Hazare remarked that nothing is achieved by creating tension or adopting a dictatorial attitude. He revealed that he has undertaken hunger strikes 22 times so far but has never resorted to violence. He noted that peaceful protests have contributed to bringing about legislative changes, mentioning that ten laws were enacted as a result of the peaceful protests he led.
Hazare urged governments and leaders to listen to citizens and prioritize public welfare. He stated that there is nothing wrong if the government has to take a couple of steps forward for the sake of the people's well-being; the crucial thing is for decisions to align with the public interest. He advised that even demands such as ministerial resignations should be pursued through peaceful means. He asserted that peaceful protests and dialogue—rather than violent demonstrations—are what bring about change among the people and within the administration. Anna Hazare urged the public, the youth, and the government not to resort to violence, regardless of the circumstances.
