FOI Studios Launches “Inside FOI Studios” to Share Its Creative Process and Vision
FOI Studios Launches Monthly LinkedIn Newsletter ‘Inside FOI Studios’
Kolkata, India: FOI Studios, a Kolkata-based creative production company founded by photographer and creative director Sourish Mukherjee, has launched a monthly LinkedIn newsletter titled Inside FOI Studios.
The newsletter will offer readers an insight into the ideas, planning and production processes behind the company's work in areas including cinematic photography, fashion, fine art, visual storytelling, digital publishing and filmmaking.
Founded in 2017 as Face of India, the platform later evolved into FOI Studios as its creative work expanded beyond conventional photography. The company says its productions often follow a film-inspired approach, with elements such as storytelling, character development, lighting, wardrobe, colour palette, set design and emotional direction considered during the creative process.
Through Inside FOI Studios, the company plans to publish articles covering creative direction, lighting, production design, Indian visual culture and the practical experiences involved in developing an independent creative business. The newsletter will also document creative experiments, production challenges and lessons learned while working on new visual projects.
The first edition introduces the journey and creative philosophy of FOI Studios. Future editions are expected to explore how an initial idea can be developed into a connected visual sequence rather than a collection of unrelated photographs.
FOI Studios is also developing visual concepts inspired by Indian architecture, sculpture, lesser-known histories and women's narratives. According to the company, these influences are being explored through contemporary photography, digital publications, books, fashion experiences and planned film projects.
The company's digital platform, FOI.ONE, provides members and supporters with access to selected visual collections, publications, behind-the-scenes content and project updates. The platform is intended to showcase the broader creative process behind the company's productions.
The new newsletter is aimed at photographers, filmmakers, designers, artists, creative professionals and readers interested in independent visual storytelling from India.
