3 -Day Bank Strike Deferred Across India
RBI Introduces New Banking Measures to Improve Liquidity
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced new measures to improve liquidity in the banking system and maintain financial stability across the country. The central bank has taken steps to absorb excess liquidity through reverse repo operations and bond sales, helping ensure that money supply remains balanced in the financial system. These measures are part of RBI’s ongoing efforts to keep inflation under control while supporting economic growth.
According to recent reports, liquidity in India’s banking system has declined after the RBI’s actions, bringing short-term interest rates closer to the policy repo rate. Financial experts believe these changes will strengthen monetary policy transmission and improve overall banking operations.
The RBI has also assured that regular banking services, including digital banking, UPI payments, ATMs, and online transactions, will continue without disruption. The central bank said it will keep monitoring market conditions and take additional measures whenever necessary to maintain a stable and efficient banking sector.
