New Farakka, West Bengal: Continuous heavy rainfall has disrupted railway services near New Farakka Railway Station, after a section of the railway track reportedly suffered subsidence. The incident has affected train movement on an important rail route connecting southern and northern parts of West Bengal.
According to reports, excessive rainfall weakened the soil beneath the railway track, causing the ground to sink in parts of the affected section. As a result, several trains are running late, while some services are unable to reach New Farakka at their scheduled time.
