‘Jagrat Odisha’ Public Awareness Convention to Focus on Legal Rights and Financial Awareness
Bhubaneswar, August 16, 2026: The Human Rights and Social Welfare Foundation (HRPW) is organizing a public awareness convention titled ‘Jagrat Odisha’ with the objective of promoting awareness about legal rights, financial literacy and citizen empowerment.
The meeting will be held at the Godavarisha Sahitya Sansad, near Giridurga Temple, Janpath, Kharavela Nagar, Unit-3, Bhubaneswar, adjacent to Padmalaya Book Store.
Guided by the slogan “Aware Citizen, Stronger Odisha. Together We Can. Together We Will.”, the programme will focus on helping citizens understand their legal rights and available grievance-redressal mechanisms relating to financial and administrative matters.
Key Discussion Highlights
- Debt and Banking Awareness: The programme will provide general guidance on dealing with banks, NBFCs and debt-related matters, along with information on banking procedures.
- Legal Documentation and Drafting: Participants will receive awareness and guidance on preparing legal documents, notices and applications.
- RBI and Banking Ombudsman Assistance: The session will explain available official grievance-redressal mechanisms for banking disputes and financial fraud-related matters.
- Consumer Rights and Financial Literacy: The programme will promote awareness of consumer rights and financial matters through the “Rupaya” Campaign.

According to the organisers, Shri Binay Mishra, Director and National President of HRPW, will be the chief speaker. Senior legal professionals are also expected to participate and provide guidance on legal rights and available remedies.
