A statewide Karnataka Bandh has been called for Thursday, August 13, from 6 AM to 6 PM by pro-Kannada organisations.

💧 WHY THE BANDH?

The bandh is being called in protest against the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) decision concerning the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

Reports say the CWMA upheld a direction for Karnataka to release 3,500 cusecs of Cauvery water daily to Tamil Nadu, triggering protests from Kannada organisations. (Telangana Today)
