BJP national president Nitin Nabin calls for greater focus on sports, youth policy and entrepreneurship in West Bengal

BJP national president Nitin Nabin called for greater focus on sports, youth policy and entrepreneurship in West Bengal while addressing a Yuva Samvad Conclave in Kolkata on Monday.

Nabin said the younger generation needs platforms to develop its potential and described today’s youth as “job creators” rather than merely job seekers.

He also highlighted the growth of startups in India, stating that more than 2.5 lakh startups and over 125 unicorns are operating across the country.

Speaking about changing media and social media habits, Nabin noted that young people have increasingly shifted from television to mobile phones and highlighted the growing influence of reels and short-form content.

He also referred to West Bengal’s sporting, artistic, literary and cultural legacy, saying that the state has the potential to regain its prominence in sports.

Earlier, at a party meeting, Nabin credited Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari with implementing promises made in the party’s election manifesto.
