Santosh N. Darade Polytechnic from Government of India. Double patent
S.N.D. Polytechnic Records Achievements in Research and Innovation
Nashik: Jagdamba Education Society's Santosh N. Darade Polytechnic has recorded achievements in the field of research and innovation, with the institution receiving a utility patent and a design patent.
The institute's faculty members have developed an innovative concept titled Voice-Controlled Acoustic Search Dome, which has received a design patent in Class 14-02. The design was researched by faculty members Umar Khayyam Mullani, Sachin Awad and Sandeep Asude.
The concept is designed to facilitate voice-based information searches and could have applications in digital libraries, smart classrooms, educational institutions, museums, information centres and public service centres.
College Principal Dr. U. B. Jadhav has also received a patent for research titled Intelligent Autonomous Solar-Powered Robotic System for Optimal Stevia Cultivation and Integrated Pest Management.
The research combines solar power, robotics, artificial intelligence and integrated pest management to develop technology aimed at supporting sustainable and efficient stevia cultivation. The proposed system can monitor crop conditions, assist in the early detection of pests and support timely pest-management measures.
Dr. Jadhav said that research, innovation and the creation of intellectual property are important components of technical education. He added that the patents received by the institute would encourage students and faculty members to undertake further research and innovation.
Representatives of Jagdamba Education Society congratulated the faculty members on the achievement and expressed their support for future research activities at the institute.
