Kamarajar Breakfast Scheme Extended to Classes 6–8 in Jamunamarathur

JAMUNAMARATHUR, TIRUVANNAMALAI DISTRICT: A special extension of the Kamarajar Morning Breakfast Scheme was launched on September 22, 2026, for students of Classes 6 to 8 at the Forest Department Higher Secondary School in Jamunamarathur, located in the Jawadu Hills of Tiruvannamalai district.

The initiative is aimed at providing morning meals to students and supporting their nutritional needs during the school day.

The programme was inaugurated by P. Kamatchi, Post Graduate Teacher in English at the school. She participated in the inaugural event and joined the students for breakfast.

Teachers and members of the school community welcomed the extension of the breakfast programme and highlighted the importance of adequate nutrition for school-going children.

The extension of the scheme to Classes 6 to 8 provides breakfast support to students studying in the Jawadu Hills region. The programme is intended to complement the educational environment by addressing students' morning nutritional needs.

The launch was attended by members of the school community, with the programme focusing on nutrition and student welfare.
